MATERIALS TO THE FAUNA OF AQUATIC AND RIPARIAN BEETLES (COLEOPTERA) OF BASKUNCHAK LAKE VICINITIES (ASTRAKHAN OBLAST, RUSSIA)

Abstract:
A list of 15 coleopteran species is provided: Haliplidae — 1, Dytiscidae — 1, Hydrophilidae — 6, Hydraenidae — 3, Scirtidae — 1, Heteroceridae — 3. Three species are recorded from Astrakhan Oblast for the first time: Berosus spinosus (Steven, 1808) (Hydrophilidae), Ochthebius schneideri orchymonti Jäch, 1984 (Hydraenidae) and Contacyphon laevipennis (Tournier, 1868) (Scirtidae). The penultimate species is recorded outside the type locality for the first time. Photographs of the main sampling sites, habitus and male genitalia of Hydraenidae species are given. Photographs of Ochthebius joosti Jäch, 1992 aedeagus variability from different parts of the range are provided.
